Polish MEP Criticizes EU Foreign Policy Chief over Middle East Stance
Grzegorz Braun referred to Kallas’ office as “unnecessary and useless” during a session of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee.
"Where is the gun, the weapon? It's the US Navy and Air Force. Who's the gun holder? Who's the perpetrator, the aggressor? It's the Jews, Israel and Jewish diaspora all over. And you, madam, you are merely the silencer, the silencer at the end of the gun barrel," Braun said.
"This is everything you do here, to hush, to stop me right now, and all the world, all Europe for the truth not to be spoken," he added.
The confrontation occurred while Kallas was addressing the committee and responding to questions regarding the EU’s foreign policy priorities and recent geopolitical developments.
Kallas did not reply to Braun’s remarks, but the committee chair, David McAllister, interrupted and condemned Braun’s statements as “antisemitic.”
